MINNESOTA: POLICE ENFORCING ‘MOVE OVER’ LAW WITH STATEWIDE CRACKDOWN

Minnesota State Troopers will be conducting a statewide crackdown on drivers concerning the “Move Over” law. The law requires cars to move over to the next open lane from stopped emergency vehicles that have flashing lights on. That includes police, ambulance, fire and construction vehicles. Sixteen-years-ago on August 31st, State Trooper Ted Foss was killed by a passing driver during a routine stop on I-90 near Lewiston.
