Atlanta Police Officer Struck and Killed

An Atlanta police officer was killed in the line of duty Tuesday night. The 15-year veteran was helping another officer when she was struck on Interstate 75. Senior Police Officer Gail Thomas died when she was struck by a car along Interstate 75 late Tuesday night as she worked a traffic accident scene. Police charged Chasity Jones, 22, with vehicular homicide, DUI and failure to yield.
