CVVFA President Walter Robertson announced today that Chief Ed Mann former Pennsylvania State Fire Commissioner has accepted the position of Continuing Education Manager for the Emergency Responder Safety Institute. "Ed has been a member of ERSI for years and we are pleased he agreed to take a higher profile in our organization" said Robertson.

In his new role Chief Mann will work with partners to provide continuing education to public safety responders through the CVVFA Emergency Responder Learning Network. The Network includes an option to provide secondary reporting capabilities for agencies who wish to track their member's progress as they successfully complete the free tested modules on the network.

Over 13,000 users are currently registered on the Network. Ed will be focusing on increasing that number by encouraging agencies that require continuing education to add the Responder Safety Learning Network to their approved list.

Ed also serves as the Fire Chief at East Derry Volunteer Fire Company in Mifflin County PA.
