Honolulu Officer Killed in Car Accident
Monday, January 23, 2012

A Honolulu Police Department officer, who was originally from Folsom, was killed late last night after his car caught fire after being hit by another driver. According to police, officer Garret Davis had just pulled over on the H-1 freeway to help a driver with a stalled vehicle, but before he was able to get out of his car, a Chevy Silverado slammed right into it. The impact from the truck pushed Davis’ police car into the stalled vehicle, causing it to catch on fire. Davis was killed instantly.
