Kentucky: Jefferson Co. Sheriff's Deputy Hit by Vehicle While Directing Traffic

A Jefferson County Sheriff's deputy was rushed to an area hospital after being hit by a vehicle in Jeffersontown. JCSO spokesman Lt. Col. Carl Yates said the deputy stopped to assist with a non-injury accident at the intersection of Billtown Road and Michaele Lane around 6:15 p.m. Wednesday. As the deputy was directing traffic he was hit by a passing motorist.
