New Jersey: Hundreds Turn Out for Procession for Waldwick Cop Killed in Crash

Hundreds lined the procession route that spanned four municipalities Monday to salute the former Marine and Waldwick High School graduate on his final journey – from Vander Plaat Funeral Home in Wyckoff to St. Luke’s Church in Ho-Ho-Kus. Goodell died early Thursday when his unmarked patrol car was struck from behind on the shoulder of Route 17 south by a tractor trailer while Goodell was parked near Bergen Avenue doing radar surveillance.
