South Carolina Towing Operator Struck and Killed on I-95

A Timmonsville, South Carolina man is dead after a vehicle struck him on I-95, near mile marker 175 in Dillon County, Saturday evening April 7, 2012. According to Dillon County Coroner, Donnie Grimsley, James Coffee, 24, died after being struck by a Dodge van headed northbound.

Sgt. Bryan McDougald of the Highway Patrol said that Coffee was working for a local wrecker company and was on the scene of a disabled vehicle call when he was hit. The Highway Patrol is currently investigating the scene and no further information regarding the circumstances surrounding the accident can be released at this time.
