South Carolina: Update: Arrest Made in South Carolina Firefighter Struck by Car LODD

2015 A man has been charged in a deadly hit-and-run crash that claimed the life of a volunteer firefighter in Anderson County last night. The South Carolina Highway Patrol responded to the fatal crash on US-76 at Sandy Springs Road about 2100 hours. Firefighter Kenneth Stanton of Pendleton, 52, was transported to the hospital for injuries suffered in the wreck. FF Stanton suffered head trauma and succumbed to injuries in the hospital shortly thereafter.
