WATCH OUT BEHIND YOU A HIGHWWAY INCIDENT SAFETY COURSE FOR EMERGENCY RESPONDERS
Friday, April 01, 2005

The CVVFA Emergency Responder Safety Institute now has a 6 hours operations level training package available at no cost to emergency service provider organizations and trainers.

Watch Out Behind You is the product of over two years work gathering best practices and highway incident scene safety materials from North American and Europe.

Those with Instructor I skills in public safety may present the course that includes instructor notes. The course is designed to be completed in six hours but can be taught in modules.

The course was developed with the support of our partners the United States Fire Administration/FEMA/DHS and the US Department of Justice. It is produced in response the the overwhelming demands for an operational level course on highway incident scene safety.

The CVVFA has been overwhelmed by requests to teach an operations level courses. Despite the best intentions of the organization, the Association was unable to keep up with demand. Watch Out Behind You consolidates all the materials needed for agencies to present in house. Some on the most knowledgeable instructors in America collaborated in producing this program.

As with all the programs provided by the CVVFA Emergency Responder Safety Institute it is provided at no charge. Chief officers and trainers may order the CD from the training section of www.respondersafety.com.
