Michigan: Fundraiser planned in Livonia for fallen State Trooper Chad Wolf

Trooper Chad Wolf's coworkers from the State Police Motor Unit and friends are planning a fundraiser for Thursday night to support Wolf's family.

Doc's will be hosting a fundraiser to help the family of Trooper Chad Wolf. We will be having an All U Can Eat Pizza Buffet that includes pizza, salad & pop for only $15 (proceeds going to the family) Lots and lots of items that we will be holding a raffle for...list to follow. The fundraiser is at Doc's Sports Retreat, 19265 Victor Parkway in Livonia, from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday.

Wolf, 38, a married father of four, died Aug. 28 after his motorcycle was struck by a 72-year-old Waterford man in a four-door car hauling an empty trailer.

Wolfe was dragged beneath the man's trailer for several miles before being found beneath the trailer at a rest area in Holly. Wolf was initially listed in critical condition at Genesys Regional Medical Center in Grand Blanc Township, but later succumbed to his injuries.

Thousands packed Fenton High School's gym on Sept. 1 to remember fallen Michigan State Police Trooper Chad Wolf who died on Aug. 28.

Around 3,500 people, including more than 500 law enforcement personnel from Michigan and several other states, filled the Fenton High School auditorium Sept. 1 for his funeral service.

There was also a bike rally fundraiser and fill-the-boot event to raise money for Wolf's wife and children.
