Struck By Incidents

Arizona: Sierra Vista Police officer & suspect recovering after being struck by car

A Sierra Vista Police officer and a shoplifting suspect were struck by a car on Fry Blvd. near Highway 90.

According to Sierra Vista Police, the officer was in pursuit on foot around 7 p.m. when he and the suspect were hit by a car. The officer was taken to a nearby hospital.

The female suspect was flown to a hospital by helicopter. Fry Boulevard is closed and will remain closed for an hour, according to The City of Sierra Vista. The incident occurred just before 7 p.m.
