Australia: Officer Struck in New South Wales

Officer hit by police car on NSW north coast.  A police officer is in hospital after he was hit by a police car during a chase on a northern NSW highway. The 41-year-old was struck about 1.30pm on Saturday during an operation in which police were using road spikes outside of Coffs Harbour to stop a car travelling north on the Pacific Highway. He sustained numerous injuries but was conscious and breathing when taken to Coffs Harbour Health Campus, police say. An investigation into how he was hit is under way
