Florida: FHP trooper hit by car on I-95 while responding to crash
A Florida Highway Patrol trooper is at the hospital after a car crashed into him on I-95 near Hobe Sound. According to FHP, 31-year-old Trooper Mithil Patel has serious injuries resulting from the crash.
CBS12 was on scene covering a crash on I-95 near Bridge Road when a black Audi spun out after a truck ran into the back of the car. The Audi then hit the trooper.
HOBE SOUND, Fla. (CBS12) - A Florida Highway Patrol trooper is at the hospital after a car crashed into him on I-95 near Hobe Sound.
According to FHP, 31-year-old Trooper Mithil Patel has serious injuries resulting from the crash.

FHP says the front end of a Chevrolet Express rear ended the Audi. The Audi then spun counter clockwise into Trooper Patel. He flew into the air, and other first responders on scene ran towards him after the crash.
Troopers identified the driver of the Chevrolet as 43-year-old Clifford Perry, and the driver of the Audi as 24-year-old Jenna Baxter. The trooper is in good condition and is recovering at St. Mary's Medical Center in West Palm Beach.
