Indiana: Drunken-driving suspect crashes into State Police car, officer hurt

An Indiana State Police officer was injured after his squad car was struck by a drunken-driving suspect.At about 2 a.m., on Thursday July 26, 2018 the trooper was using his car to block traffic while crews were dealing with a crash on southbound I-65 near Southport Road when a vehicle struck his car, according to a supervisor at the Indiana State Police post in Indianapolis.The officer was taken to Eskenazi Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.Police arrested the driver on initial charges of operating a vehicle while intoxicated.
