Virginia: Worker struck by truck on I-64; driver flees the scene

Virginia State Police are asking for help finding a truck that hit a worker on Interstate 64 in Norfolk Tuesday morning.The incident happened shortly after 6 a.m. on westbound I-64 at the Little Creek exit, police spokeswoman Sgt. Michelle Anaya said in a news release. State police and VDOT Smart Traffic workers were responding to a four-vehicle accident with injuries when the incident happened, Anaya said. A Smart Traffic worker was coning off the area to assist a trooper when a Ford F150 cut through the coned area and struck the worker with its side mirror. The driver fled the area, Anaya said.
