  • Arkansas: Jonesboro Officer Struck

    Jonesboro police say an officer has been injured after being struck by a car while directing traffic. Officer Nathan Ivy was taken to an area hospital after being hit in a Jonesboro intersection Tuesday night. Ivy was directing traffic while maintenance crews worked on a traffic light, which was turned off.

    A Jonesboro police officer hit by a car while directing traffic Tuesday night has been released from a local hospital.

  • Pennsylvania: State Trooper Struck

    A state trooper was hit by a car Wednesday night in East Huntingdon Township, Westmoreland County, police said. The trooper suffered a broken leg, a head injury, and serious arm and hand lacerations. The trooper was hit by a passing car around 8:25 p.m. on the side of state Route 119 while cleaning up debris from a previous crash.   • Georgia: Pooler Police Officer Hit by Car in Better Condition

    The Pooler police officer who was hit while he was trying to conduct a traffic stop last week is doing better.

  • New Jersey: Deal Police Officer Struck by Drunk Driver

    A Long Branch man was arrested after he drunkenly crashed into a Deal police car with an officer inside early Sunday morning.

  • Massachusetts: Police Cruiser Struck While Trooper Removes Deer from the Highway

    According to officials, a car crashed into a State Police cruiser early Tuesday morning. The Trooper had been removing a deceased deer form the highway when the cruiser was struck around 1:30 a.m. by a car traveling in the high speed land on Route 25 going eastbound. The car struck the cruiser, causing significant damage to both vehicles.

  • North Carolina: Firefighter Hit by Vehicle While Directing Traffic

    The fire department says James Morrison of Wallace Volunteer Fire Department was hit while directing traffic around an 18-wheeler and van crash on Highway 41. He was in front of the Food Lion when he was hit. We do not have the identity of the driver.

  • Alabama: Deputy Injured After Being Struck

    The Calhoun County Sheriff's Office said that one of their deputies is in the hospital after being struck by a vehicle. They said the incident happened early on Monday morning while the deputy was directing traffic at a wreck on Hwy 431 and Bynum-Leatherwood Road in Anniston. He was taken to UAB Hospital where he underwent surgery.

  • Georgia: Officer Struck and Injured During Traffic Stop

    A Pooler police officer is at home recovering from injuries Friday night after a motorist struck him with a car during a traffic stop earlier in the day. Officer James Self was standing at a motorist’s window on Jimmy DeLoach Parkway about 6:30 a.m. when he was struck by a car being driven by a 67-year-old Bloomingdale man, said Pooler Police Chief Mark Revenew.
