Michigan: Truck driver charged in death of Wayne County road worker

A 47-year-old Lincoln Park man is facing felony charges in a crash that killed a Wayne County road worker and injured another man as they patched potholes on a road in Taylor. According to a news release today from the Wayne County Prosecutor's office, the Lincoln Park man is charged with reckless driving causing death, reckless driving causing serious impairment, work zone death and work zone injury. The accident happened at about 10:30 a.m. on March 23 when Wayne County road workers who were patching potholes on Van Born Road near Fellrath were struck by a county truck driven by the Lincoln Park man.Both men were taken to a local hospital. David Wolf, 47, of Garden City died of his injuries and Wilbert King, 46, of Detroit was treated for serious injuries to his abdomen and leg.
