Near Miss Report Credits ResponderSafety.com with Helping to Prevent Injury to Firefighters

A Report of a fire department highway response that could have led to a disaster, filed with the National Near Miss Reporting System credits ResponderSafety.com and the ResponderSafety Learning Network with providing training that helped keep responders from being struck during a secondary incident.

These anonymous reports collected worldwide are an important tool in using "lessons learned" to keep responders safe. The attached download has full details on this incident.

The CVVFA Emergency Responder Safety Institute has a long history of working with the International Association of Fire Chiefs who maintain the Near Miss Reporting System. A current project will soon provide a portal on ResponderSafety.com to access National Near Miss reports involving roadway incidents.
