ResponderSafety.Com Announces Enhancements to Its Struck By Incidents Database Search

For a decade, ResponderSafety.com has maintained the only online database of news articles on struck by incidents throughout the United States and abroad. These articles are a source of information, lessons learned, and case studies for roadway responders. To make the database more useful to the emergency responder community, ResponderSafety.com has added new filters to sort the database so responders can more precisely target the articles of greatest interest to them. Now, responders can filter the database entries by State/Province where the incident occurred and Organization Type involved in the incident (Fire, Law Enforcement, Fire Police, EMS, Departments of Transportation, Safety Service Patrols, and Towing/Recovery). These fields can be used separately or in combination with each other or the existing filters for year and month.

"These new filters will give responders and leadership new possibilities for finding case studies in their state or agency, or both," said Steve Austin, project manager for ResponderSafety.com. "It's a great tool in our continuing work to learn from past incidents and to pass that learning along through training and case studies."

The new database filtering fields are available now on the ResponderSafety.com Struck By Incidents page.
