Pennsylvania: K-9 police vehicle totaled by hit-and-run trucker, police say

West Shore Regional Police are asking for help in in finding a tractor trailer they say struck a K-9 vehicle and fled the by driving the wrong way on North Second Street in Harrisburg.

The department wrote in a Facebook post on Sunday: “As a result of the crash the police vehicle was a total loss and needs to be replaced. WSRPD really needs to identify this truck and driver so we can replace our vehicle!!”

Police said the collision happened on Nov. 14 on South Front Street. A West Shore police officer and dog were in the vehicle, the department said.
