Pennsylvania: Police arrest man who struck officer with his car

Police have identified the man who was shot last week after officials said he hit a police officer with his car in Pottstown. Police said 70-year-old Dennis Neulin of Allentown has been released from the hospital and is now behind bars. Officials said he led a Lower Pottsgrove police officer on a chase last Thursday night. When he finally stopped, he hit the officer who approached his car.

The officer shot him as he sped away. Neulin is facing a list of charges including aggravated assault, resisting arrest, simple assault and recklessly endangering another person. The officer is on paid leave until the investigation is complete.
