Alabama: DOT worker struck by vehicle

An Alabama Department of Transportation employee is recovering after he was hit by a passing vehicle Thursday morning.  An ALDOT spokesman said the worker was doing final surveying work when he was hit by part of a vehicle.

The accident happened before 11 a.m. Thursday morning on I-565 westbound. The worker was taken to Huntsville Hospital for treatment.
