New York: 2 NYPD officers struck on Major Deegan; driver arrested

Two NYPD officers were struck by a suspected drunken driver on the Major Deegan Expressway Saturday. Police say the incident occurred while the officers were waiting for a tow truck to pick up a broken down car.

The officers were on the roadway near Exit 11 and Van Cortlandt Park South when Jorge Rosado drove into them. He was arrested and charged with DWI.
