Pennsylvania: State Trooper Struck

A state trooper was hit by a car Wednesday night in East Huntingdon Township, Westmoreland County, police said. The trooper suffered a broken leg, a head injury, and serious arm and hand lacerations. The trooper was hit by a passing car around 8:25 p.m. on the side of state Route 119 while cleaning up debris from a previous crash.
