Louisiana Crossing Guard Killed

This morning, Troopers with Louisiana State Police Troop I investigated a fatal crash on LA Highway 10 at LA Highway 376 which claimed the life of an Evangeline Parish Reserve Deputy Crossing Guard. 60-year-old Reserve Deputy John Granger of Reddell, was directing traffic for Vidrine Elementary at the intersection of LA 10 at LA 376.

Two SUVs crashed at the intersection and one of the vehicles hit the Crossing Guard. The Deputy was wearing an orange reflective vest at the time of the crash.
