ORLANDO, Fla. – A civilian field service officer with the Orange County Sheriff’s Office died over the weekend after his marked patrol vehicle was struck by another car on I-4, officials said.
Sheriff’s officials on Monday said David Grassi, 66, died in the crash, which happened at 2:30 a.m. Saturday as he was working and monitoring a lane closure on I-4 east near the Kaley Street exit.
