Train the Trainer: How to Give Effective Distracted Driving Presentations

Since 1998, the Emergency Responder Safety Institute has focused on developing and delivering responder safety and traffic incident management training, resources, news, and data to reduce struck-by deaths of and injuries to responders operating on the roadway. Emergency services now have access to the tools and training they need to set up traffic incident management areas at every roadway response scene to protect themselves and the motoring public. Yet struck-by incidents have continued to occur and even increase in recent years. Overall traffic fatalities are also up. There is clearly more work to do. The ERSI believes that we must address the “D Driver” problem — distracted, drugged, and drunk drivers continue to run into emergency scenes. The public must be our partner in reducing these incidents that are claiming responder and civilian lives.

As part of that effort, the ERSI and EndDD.org partnered to deliver a “Train the Trainer: How to Give Effective Distracted Driving Presentations” webinar. This webinar was livestreamed on May 17, 2022. The replay is available on this page.
