Move Over Slow Down Awareness

All 50 U.S. States have laws that require drivers to move their vehicles over at least one lane or slow down when approaching an emergency scene on the roadway. These resources will help you educate the public about their responsibility to comply with these laws that save responder and civilian lives. The Emergency Responder Safety Institute recommends all drivers slow down when approaching an emergency scene and cautiously navigate around the incident.

Take the Pledge to Drive Safely and Protect Emergency Responders! Avoid emergency scenes, move over and slow down, leave your phone alone, stay alert, follow traffic control instructions, and refrain from “D” driving. Download the pledge, sign it, and post in your home or on social media. #ISaveResponderLives
