(TN)(07-04-2022) Firefighter Struck and Killed While Directing Traffic

South Claiborne Volunteer Fire Department member Roger Estes was struck and killed during a traffic detail near North Tazwell on July 4th, 2022.

Roger Estes, 77, was directing traffic on Highway 33 when he was struck by a Ford F-150 pickup truck, according to WKRN.com.

Ester, from the South Claiborne Volunteer Fire Department, was working at a holiday event when the tragedy happened.

The Tennessee Highway Patrol said they are investigating the cause of the crash.
