  • 25 Years After: Reflecting on Change, Looking to the Future

    In the 25 years since the losses of Capt. Joseph Kroboth, Jr. (The Volunteer Fire Company of Halfway, MD) and FF Dave Good (Lionville Fire Company, PA) led to founding the Emergency Responder Safety Institute, a lot has changed for the better in response to roadway incidents. This article respectfully honors all line-of-duty deaths on the roadway, celebrates the victories in improving roadway incident response safety, and charts an agenda for where we go from here.
