Texas: Castle Hills Officer gets hit by oncoming vehicle, still makes arrest

A Castle Hills police officer is in stable condition after being hit by a car during a foot chase on Sunday.

Around 3:30 a.m, the officer responded to a call about a man on top of a roof throwing bricks. When officers arrived on the scene, the man started throwing bricks at them before jumping off the roof.

A foot chase ensued that took them onto Loop 410 when the officer was side swiped by an oncoming vehicle. That didn't stop the officer, who continued the chase and apprehended the suspect.

The officer was taken to the hospital in stable condition. No word on the extent of his injuries. Charges are pending against the suspect.

The driver of the vehicle didn't stop and render aid and is still at large.
