Pennsylvania: Firefighter Struck Crossing Street to Fire Station

A firefighter was struck while crossing the street to the Paxtonia Fire Company station while answering a call Monday. Lower Paxton Township Police were called to South Johnson Street just before 3 p.m. for a person struck by a vehicle.

That's when they discovered a volunteer firefighter was hit trying to cross the street, according toFox43.com. The firefighter was not seriously injured, but was transported to Hershey Medical Center for evaluation. Police said the driver of the vehicle stopped and is cooperating with their investigation.
