Indiana: Beech Grove-Fire truck struck by impaired driver and 4 firefighters injured
Sundayevening shortly after 10pm, EG 57 was working a trash fire in the 5900 block of East Troy Ave. The crew was in the process of deploying a hoseline, when a suspected impaired driver struck the engine and then stuck four firefighters. All four were transported to IU Health Methodist, and thankfully were treated and released with minor injuries. Special thanks to #IMPD and #BGPD for investigating the scene, #IFD, for responding and lending aid to the injured crew, and providing coverage to our city while we took care of our people, and #IEMS for treating and transporting our crews.
