New York: Failure To Obey 'Move Over' Law Leads To I-684 DWI Arrest

A South Salem man was arrested on Sunday, Nov. 29 by the New York State Police from the Somers barracks, for driving while intoxicated after failing to obey the "Move Over" state law.

According to police, Daniel S. Roosevelt, 24, was stopped on Interstate 684 for failing to obey the “Move Over” law. An investigation revealed that Roosevelt was intoxicated at the time of the stop, police said.

Roosevelt provided a breath sample that revealed a blood alcohol content of .15 percent and was issued traffic tickets directing him to appear before the Town of Bedford Justice Court on Dec. 9, police said.
