(FL)(02-27-2021) Mobile Mechanic Struck by a Vehicle on Feb. 1st Dies on Feb. 26th
On February 1, 2021, a tow operator, a mobile mechanic and a tow truck were struck by a vehicle on State Road 408 in Orlando at the site of a disabled vehicle. The tow operator and mechanic suffered serious injuries and were hospitalized. We regret to pass along that Austin Gayne, the mechanic with Johnson's Wrecker Service Inc of Florida, passed away on Feb. 26th and became the 7th responder struck and killed by a vehicle in the line of duty in 2021.
