A state trooper was hit by a driver who was pulling onto I-85 from White Horse Road this morning, according to the Greenville County Sheriff's Office.

The trooper's car was parked on I-85 against the wall when he was rear-ended, said Master Deputy Michael Hildebrand.

The driver was charged with improper lane change, Hildebrand said.

Hildebrand said both the state trooper and the driver were taken to Greenville Memorial Hospital as a precaution.
