Hundreds Attend Funeral for Canadian Officer Killed During Traffic Stop

Public security officers from as far away as British Columbia travelled to Bromont on Friday to honour and lay to rest one of their own. There were hundreds of pairs of highly polished boots in a town better known for skiing, horses, a chocolate museum and candle stores.

Vincent Roy, 37, a constable with the Bromont police force, was killed by a truck that veered onto the shoulder of a rural road Dec. 1 as he was returning to his car after stopping a vehicle.
