Funeral Planned For Colorado Officer Killed By Suspected Drunk Driver

Funeral services are planned for an Englewood police officer who was struck and killed by a suspected drunken driver. Officer Jeremy Bitner, 39, was killed Monday just after midnight while conducting a traffic stop near the intersection of West Belleview Avenue and South Broadway. A funeral will be held at the Denver First Church of the Nazarene at 3800 E. Hampden Ave. at 1 p.m. Friday. Following the service, Bitner will be buried at Fort Logan Cemetery.
