The parade is scheduled for Wednesday at 10 a.m. Tow truck drivers are encouraged to meet at Westland Mall on 35000 Warren Road. The tow truck drivers will then leave with a police escort at 10:45 a.m. and head to the funeral home. After the service, the memorial parade will continue to Taylor.

Drivers from across the country are also posting photos of themselves wearing black Freddie arm bands in a show of support.

Friends of the Scroggs family wrote on a GoFundMe page that Fred had told the woman to stay in her vehicle while he changed her flat tire because they were so close to the busy freeway.

A witness said he saw the SUV spin in the air during the accident. The driver of the SUV and Scroggs were killed. The woman Scroggs was helping was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
