Minnesota: MnDOT ceremony remembers lives lost working on MN highways

A ceremony on Tuesday paid tribute to highway workers who paid the ultimate price while working on transportation projects in Minnesota. Eugene Mitchell, Earl Held, Roy Carls, Jerry Holter, Grayston Cain, and Thomas Schmit are six MnDOT workers who went to work like any other morning but never came home to their families at the end of the day because they lost their lives on the job. Every year thousands of workers put their lives on the line to work on Minnesota highways, and Tuesday morning MnDOT District 6 paid homage to those men who gave their lives to keep drivers safe with "Worker Memorial Day."
