The Temporary Traffic Control Committee (TTCC) of the National Committee on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (NCUTCD) is collecting information about current practices for temporary traffic control (TTC) at roadway and highway incident scenes. One issue that has come to our attention is the increasing use of “traffic arrow devices” of various types on emergency vehicles (fire, police, EMS) and other response agency vehicles that assist at traffic incidents (safety service patrols, tow trucks, DOT vehicles etc.).
